I'm here in Georgia now, I'll be here till early July. We had a four day pass last week that was hard. I had to say good bye to many of my friends and family. I'm truely blessed with many close friends and family! Which makes it even harder to say good bye. I'm hoping to get a 14 day pass over this deployment (sometimes they get taken away due to the amount of work..others having pass...things getting too busy...etc) and I would really love to back pack through Europe. I'm going to be really good at sleeping in uncomfortable places... carrying everything I need in a back pack and going days with out showers...and trying to communicate with out knowing the language of the country I'm in so I figure its a great time to go explore the country side.
I've also decided I want to save up for a house. I'm taking a pay cut going to Iraq, but my job is so awesome that they will cover my losses! Its amazing. And since the Army portion is tax free... and I will get everything that is taxed back in the states back when I file for taxes... I figure its a good oportuinity to have extra cash and put it towards an investment. I love my appartment though. I'm thinking that I am going to want more space when I get home though... lots and lots of open personal space!
Jake and I had a good time on the break. We went to the coast, casino, movies, nice dinners and traveled to Grants Pass.
I'll talk about getting shots and having army fun later! Gotta run!
